Live To Travel

Most people call me Tasha, I'm a single mum blessed with a handsome, active son. Born and bred in Singapore, I'm tied up with all the culture embedded here in Singapore with Malay, Chinese and Pathan heritage. Lucky me I get to celebrate all the cultures and don the Kebaya, Cheongsam and Kurti outfit! As they say here locally 'Rojak!'

I'm sporty and active - always up for any challenge! I’m in my 40s and have just signed up for the Spartan Race here in Singapore, so yes I’m looking forward for some bruises and fun. That aside, I do appreciate time by the pool relaxing, going to the beach, having drinks, good music, great company and of course food!

Given the opportunity, I would never say no to travel. Nepal, being the last place I went to, was so breathetaking. I went on a hike with a group of strangers and together we conquered Annapurna Base Camp! It was such an amazing experience, to witness the Himalayans with a group of strangers I bonded with in a short span of 8 days which took me out of my comfort zone!

I live by the rule (my rule!) that to live is to travel, to learn. No paper degree can teach you that. Hence in my humble opinion, it is vital to travel whenever possible - it has taught me about other cultures, languages and religions also to be aware, have a heart and respect for everyone.

White tops! And gym clothes!

Which celebrity style do you admire?

I like the sophisticated style of Princess Kate Middleton and Marion Caunter, very stylish.

How would you describe your style in 3 words?

Simple, comfy, chic.

What is one wardrobe basic you can’t live without?

White tops!
